The Paul Revere Chapter, NSDAR will hold their monthly meeting at Carnegie Library at 1pm with a program to follow at 1:45pm:
The Paul Revere Chapter, NSDAR, welcomes guest speaker: Patti Moy, Regent of the Samuel Bryant Chapter, NSDAR (Beech Grove, Indiana).
During World War II, as Hoosier men left for military service, Indiana faced serious labor shortages that threatened vital food production. To meet the demand, German and Italian prisoners of war were assigned to work in local fields and canning factories, helping harvest and process essential crops.
Regent Moy will explore how POW labor sustained Indiana’s agricultural industry and how this little-known chapter of history reflects the strength and resilience of the American home front.
