 y manager and archivist at Muncie Public Library, as she explores how co
 mmunity and family cookbooks can serve as powerful tools for genealogy an
 d historical research — helping you trace connections, traditions and st
 ories across generations.  Then, Kate Elliott, associate lecturer in Bal
 l State’s School of Journalism and Strategic Communication, will invite 
 participants to contribute to the Big Read Community Cookbook. Learn how 
 to document cherished recipes alongside the memories that give them meanin
 g, with practical tips for capturing the moments that bring us to the tabl
 e. Participants are encouraged to bring a favorite recipe to this hands-o
 n writing session to capture memories associated with the dish. Whether yo
 u're interested in family history, writing or simply love food, this 
 program offers a meaningful way to connect the past with the present, one 
 recipe at a time.Light refreshments will be available.
